Thank You Yeronga Natural Therapies

http://www.ynt.com.au/

We'd sincerely like to thank the many individuals and businesses that have shown support for A Brighter Future.

In particular though, we owe special thanks to Cathy and Nina at Yeronga Natural Therapies, and their wonderful therapists, including Mary, Geeta, Samantha and Margo. Last year, this great team committed to ongoing therapy for our children, and very generously give of their time to accommodate us still.

We love our visits to their clinic, and always come away relaxed and smiling! Thanks again YNT!

Commonwealth Bank Staff Community Fund

We at ABF wish to give a big THANK YOU to the Commonwealth Bank Staff Community Fund. Their Community Grants Program supports youth and children's charities. This year, a total of 66 local community groups and charities around Australia have been awarded grants of up to $10,000 each, and A Brighter Future is lucky enough to be one of these!

The kids enjoyed meeting with the staff at CBA Mitchelton to say thankyou (and they enjoyed those yummy cupcakes!). This grant will be a welcome contribution for our equipment pool.

Donation from the Pat Carroll Running Group

In August, we met up with the Pat Carroll Running Group for the big cheque presentation - over $21,500!!! Again, thank you so much to everyone involved for your awesome efforts!

We are really excited to have been a part of your lead-up to the GC Marathon, and have big plans for these funds.

Premier Anna Bligh on Masterchef

We also caught up with Qld Premier Anna Bligh, who very generously donated her fee for her recent appearance on Network Ten's Celebrity MasterChef to us.

Thank you again Premier for thinking of us - we thought you did a great job on MasterChef!

Thank you to Yeronga Natural Therapies

We are extremely grateful to Cathy and Nina and the wonderful therapists at Yeronga Natural Therapies in Brisbane. They have generously offered therapy to our A Brighter Future kids, and parents too, at no cost. They are donating their time and expertise to help encourage our kids to be the best they can be through the natural therapies offered at YNT. Thank you YNT!

Wonderful support from the Pat Carroll Running Group

The Pat Carroll Running Group has been supporting A Brighter Future for some months now. Pat has a long history of donating monies raised in sponsorship of his runners to various charitable interests. This year he has selected A Brighter Future to receive funds raised leading up to the Gold Coast Marathon (held Sunday, July 5th).

We were lucky to meet many members of the PCRG during a couple of their training sessions, and felt inspired by their energy and drive. Pat is a very motivational coach!

We are tremendously thankful to them for doing a fantastic job gaining sponsorship. The funds donated to A Brighter Future will go some way towards helping us achieve our goals.

By all accounts the Marathon was a great day - especially for the kids of A Brighter Future! Thanks so much Pat Carroll and all your runners!

Southpine Road Childcare & Preschool

A big thank you to management and staff at Southpine Road Childcare & Preschool who recently gave up their free time to hold a BBQ at Bunnings and raised $1,463.35 for A Brighter Future. Southpine Road supports children with additional needs in mainstream settings and values the contribution children with additional needs make.

Qld Fire Service Amateur Golf Association

A Brighter Future held a charity golf day on the 30th April 2009 which was supported by the Qld Fire Service Amateur Golf Association. The day was a huge success, raising $4,500 for the charity. The day was supported by a large number of Qld Fire & Rescue Service staff, which says a lot about the nature of the people who work for the fire service - extremely giving of their time and resources. A special thank you must go to Frank Stemm, who helped organise the day and rallied support. A Brighter Future values its close connection with the Association and hopes to organise another golf day next year with its support.

We also wish to extend our sincere gratitude to the following for their kind donations of goods or services in support of our Golf Day raffles and auction:
